360-Degree Appraisal

A professional 360 Degree Appraisal can help if you are embarking on a programme of organisational or managerial development. We have an on-line system that can generate bespoke questionnaires using our established item bank, or we can work with you to develop a 360 which matches your key criteria for success – be it a competence framework or some other system of performance measures. And it doesn’t cost the earth. Set up is in the hundreds of pounds, not thousands as many systems are. It is all on-line and has self nomination or controlled nomination – whichever suits best. Output is clear and easily understood graphics. We provide professional 1:1 feedback too.


Teambuilding

We can develop customised workshops or events to help build new teams, or help groups of staff develop creative solutions to everyday problems thereby making that extra contribution to your College’s work. We have worked with many organisations in this way including developing and defining employee consultative forums which help you consult and involve more effectively.

Staff Attitude Surveys

It's important to keep track of how your employees are feeling as a means of identifying issues that require management attention.

Many employers don't have the time to carry out the research necessary to maintain good working relations with their employees. We have on-line technology at our fingertips and the expertise in establishing staff surveys so that working together we can help you implement an effective survey with results that are confidentially collated and presented in an easy to understand graphical format.

Staff consultation questionniares

Using the same technology, perhaps you’d like to avoid the “questionnaire fatigue” that often strikes staff and use our cost effective expertise and technology to implement a survey that actually asks staff for answers and suggestions? It means that you can hone in on an important area of future management action and properly involve staff in seeking practical solutions, as well as providing you with tangible evidence about how seriously the issue is regarded by staff.

Working with Managers

We have often been asked to give managers a one-day “taster” of leadership and management issues in the workplace and can design a programme which enables your issues to be addressed whilst at the same time giving managers an insight to this interesting topic, which helps them reflect on their own performance.

Management of Absence

Helping managers reduce absenteeism and giving them clear guidance on how to deal with potentially difficult situations with staff is the core of this one-day programme. It includes clear guidance on what is and what is not permissible when dealing with staff absence.

Handling Discipline and Grievance

Hopefully many managers will never face having to deal with disciplinary matters and grievances, but being realistic this is unlikely. Our one-day workshop is an introduction to the correct approach for managers to take and an introduction to the skills required to handle these difficult issues.

Improving Employee Performance

Bringing underperformance up to scratch is a testing task for managers. This one-day programme focuses managers on the issue of underperformance and how to get the best out of their staff. It can also be tailored to cover your capability procedures and give an introduction to the skills required, and the right approach to be taken in issues of poor performance.

Making the right choices in recruitment is essential for any organisation. As experts in the recruitment of mangers to the education sector we can help managers follow best practice and learn the right skills to be accredited as able to conduct their own recruitment.
